Description

The color of midnight with memory running through it.

In Kintsugi, the Cresta does not hide what it has held — it illuminates it. The outer leather from MPG Industria's Aragona line arrives in a deep, polished black, its surface hand-cut in the branching seams of kintsugi — each incision made by hand, deliberate and unrepeatable. Beneath, the foil-finished leather of La Perla Azzurra catches the light in silver, rising through the cuts like something recovered rather than broken, a philosophy made tangible in two layers of Italian leather.

The dual thread hand stitching outlines every cut with quiet precision — two strands wound together along each edge, steady and unhurried, the kind of work that takes as long as it takes and no less.

The nickel-plated hardware settles into the leather as though it belongs to it — its cool silver tone a natural extension of the foil glimpsed beneath, the magnetic snap closure at the center of the flap pressing shut with quiet authority, holding fast the way a well-made thing always does.

The chain and leather strap falls from both sides — nickel links giving way to leather where it matters, keeping the bag light against the shoulder, kind to skin and hair, free to move the way a daily companion should.

The Cresta carries only what you need. It does so beautifully.

There is only one. Kintsugi does not repeat. It remembers.

Care

To maintain the beauty and integrity of your purchase, we recommend treating it with care when using, but don't be afraid to use it. Good leather pieces need to be used! Simple maintenance practices, such as proper storage using the included dust bag, can effectively preserve the longevity of your piece.

Because leather is a natural material and also because each piece is sewn by hand, it may have small imperfections. They are part of the charm of the bag.

Patina is also something to expect with your piece as that is one of the many benefits of using vegetable tanned leather. The color will deepen and it will begin to get softer and shinier the more you use it, making it even more uniquely yours.

Design

Our dedication to excellence extends beyond materials; it encompasses the artistry and craftsmanship illustrated in every piece we create.

Grant quite literally hand cuts and hand sews each and every piece. All designs are his originals.

Leather is always vegetable tanned and sources from several of our favorite tanneries in Italy, Spain and the US.

Hardware is solid metal, usually brass.
