La Borsetta - Purple / Brass
Description
Design
The La Borsetta was our first large purse design. The design started around the front panel and was built from there, including the wet-formed gusset, top handle, and magnetic closure. Drawing on a classic silhouette featuring a top handle and faux buckle closure, the La Borsetta was designed to carry all of your essentials. With internal dimensions of 9.5" wide, 7.5" tall, and 3.5" deep, you can easily your phone, wallet, keys, and a book. An adjustable matching leather strap completes the design.
Details
The pebbled purple leather, combined with polished brass hardware was an easy choice. The double saddle stitch technique features Bordeaux and gray thread, a subtle detail that points to the quality of the build and the attention that goes into each Uptown Common bag. Every piece of leather is cut, sewn, and finished by hand.
Materials
The Purple leather for this La Borsetta is sourced from an Italian Tannery, La Perla Azzurra. This is a vegetable-tanned leather that will patina with age and use, slowly darkening over time and developing a shinier finish while also featuring a pebbled texture. German sourced thread, engineered for hand-sewing, is used for longevity alongside solid brass hardware.
Care
To maintain the beauty and integrity of your purchase, we recommend treating it with care when using, but don't be afraid to use it. Good leather pieces need to be used! Simple maintenance practices, such as proper storage using the included dust bag, can effectively preserve the longevity of your piece.
Because leather is a natural material and also because each piece is sewn by hand, it may have small imperfections. They are part of the charm of the bag.
Patina is also something to expect with your piece as that is one of the many benefits of using vegetable tanned leather. The color will deepen and it will begin to get softer and shinier the more you use it, making it even more uniquely yours.

Our dedication to excellence extends beyond materials; it encompasses the artistry and craftsmanship illustrated in every piece we create.
